At Hi-Rez Studios, our priority is to provide you with the most positive and engaging experience possible in SMITE 2. We ask you to help us uphold these values and work together to create an environment where everyone can enjoy the game.

PLAY AS A GOD, CONQUER AS A TEAM

Whether you're battling alongside friends or forming alliances with new players, the moment you enter the Battleground of the Gods, you become part of a team with a shared objective: victory. We encourage you to work together, embracing diverse strategies and styles of play.

  • Stay Committed: Don’t abandon your matches or teammates, even in challenging situations. Every game provides an opportunity for growth, both as a player and as a team. Persevere until the end.

  • Communicate Effectively: Utilize the in-game VGS (Voice Guided System) and pings to coordinate your team's movements, attacks, and defenses.

  • Adapt and Cooperate: Flexibility in strategy is key. Encourage collaboration, even if you believe you have a better approach. A good plan executed now is better than a perfect plan executed too late.

  • Lead with Respect: If you take on a leadership role, listen to and consider the perspectives of your teammates. Offer suggestions rather than dictating actions.

  • Promote Positive Play: Toxic behavior disrupts the team's synergy and can lead to punitive actions.
    Examples of behavior that undermine teamwork and may result in disciplinary action include:

    • Deliberately hindering your team's progress or assisting the enemy through intentional poor play..

    • Repeatedly going AFK (Away From Keyboard) during a match.

THE BATTLEGROUND SHOULD BE FAIR

Every match should be an opportunity to bring your best effort, with everyone having an equal chance to shine. Hi-Rez Studios is committed to ensuring fair play across all games.

  • No Cheating: We have zero tolerance for cheating and will aggressively combat it through various technical measures.
    Examples of actions that could result in disciplinary measures include:

    • Using unauthorized third-party software to gain an unfair advantage.

    • Modifying game files or using unapproved mods.

    • Exploiting bugs or using automation tools to simulate gameplay.

    • Intentionally losing matches or sabotaging your team's success.

RESPECT AND CONSIDERATION

Every player in SMITE 2 is an individual with their own background and experiences, all here to enjoy the game. Show tolerance and embrace differences to ensure a positive experience for everyone.

  • No Discrimination: Hi-Rez Studios does not tolerate any form of discrimination or harassment based on race, religion, gender identity, nationality, physical/mental condition, or age.
    Actions that may result in disciplinary measures include:

    • Harassment or bullying of other players.

    • Spamming, advertising, or using excessive profanity.

PROTECT YOURSELF AND OTHERS

Ensure the safety of your personal information, account, and devices while participating in SMITE 2.

  • Account Security: Your account is for your use only—don't share it with others.

  • Safeguard Your Information: Never share your password or personal details with anyone, including those claiming to be Hi-Rez employees.

  • Avoid Impersonation: Don’t impersonate other players or Hi-Rez staff.

ENFORCEMENT OF THE CODE OF CONDUCT

We actively monitor and manage in-game behavior to maintain a fun and friendly community in SMITE 2. Online conduct should reflect common sense, good sportsmanship, and basic etiquette. We may apply suspensions or other disciplinary measures for conduct that harms the gaming experience.

  • Graduated Penalties: Penalties for violations may escalate with repeated offenses:

    • 1st offense = 7-Day Suspension

    • 2nd offense = 14-Day Suspension

    • 3rd offense = Permanent Game Ban

  • These penalties are examples, and Hi-Rez Studios reserves the right to apply suspensions or bans based on the severity and frequency of the offense. All decisions are at the discretion of Hi-Rez Studios.

  • Compliance with EULA and Terms of Service: Violations of the End User License Agreement (EULA) or Terms of Service may also result in disciplinary action. For more details, visit www.hirezstudios.com/legal.
