Account Linking, while convenient, can sometimes get complicated- luckily we've got you covered with this list of our most frequently asked questions regarding Account Linking:

I linked my Playstation account and my progress or skins aren't being shared with my other accounts, what's wrong?

Unfortunately, PSN is not included in our Cross-Progression feature at this time. Please note that Cross-Play and Cross-Progression are different.

No Steam, Xbox, Switch or PC account content may be transferred or merged to/from a PSN account.


Should Sony decide to participate in the Cross-Progression feature, we will announce this to our players on our social media platforms.

Whenever I try to unlink my external account from my Hi-Rez account, it won't let me and gives me an error?

If you are unable to unlink an external account from your Hi-Rez account, it may be because those accounts have merged.

Merging is an automated event that permanently binds your external account's content and progress to your Hi-Rez account.

If you would like to have that external account unlinked so that it may be linked to a new Hi-Rez account, please reach out to Customer Support, we will be able to assist you further.

What does "Can only re-link to the previously linked account." mean?

This error appears if your Hi-Rez account has merged with a different external account from the same platform.

HiRez accounts that have merged with a specific external account will not be able to link to any other account from that platform. (For ex. if your Xbox account has merged, you will only be able to link to that specific Xbox account).

Why are my Xbox skins/emotes/voice packs not appearing on my other linked accounts?

Unfortunately not all DLC from Xbox will transfer to other linked accounts.

This is due to the DLC being required for the content to be unlocked. Most, if not all the DLC is Xbox exclusive and also means that it won't merge/transfer over when the merging occurs.

If the DLC is ever lost, due to a player uninstalling the game/DLC, or if it was available only through having Xbox Gold and lost Gold at any point, then the content will be locked once again. You will require the DLC once again for it to be unlocked on the Xbox Console.

I've got a bunch of content on one Hi-Rez account and I want to transfer it to a different one, how can I do that?

Unfortunately it is not possible to transfer content or progress between two accounts of the same kind. This also applies to external accounts (PSN to PSN, etc.)
